Here you will find themed translations, interpretations and commentaries from my in-depth word by word studies of Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtra with the two longest serving students of the eminent T Krishnamacharya, namely TKV Desikachar and S Ramaswami. For guidance into the depth and subtlety of these precious teachings I thank my teachers, especially TKV Desikachar.
Please note, in the spirit of Patañjali, I am firstly completing a verse by verse translation for each chapter within the Yoga Studies Journal pages. These translations will form the basis for expansion with commentaries on this site, compiled from over two decades of study and practice through personal lessons in India with my teachers.
